Dr. Robert Earl Cleveland: At 80.

Recent artwork by Dr. R. Earl Cleveland, Professor Emeritus of Carson-Newman
University, who is still actively making art at age 80. Dr. Cleveland built the programs
and curriculum of the Art Department of C-N in the 1960’s and 70’s, Chaired our
department for the vast majority of his career, and built the Omega Gallery itself in
1982. He is responsible for our initial accreditation with the National Association of
Schools of Art & Design (in 1992), and then Dr. Cleveland retired from teaching in 1994.
Opening Reception with the artist: Monday, 29 August, 3pm to 5pm.

Recent photography by Andrew Gresham, C-N Art Alumni, class of 1996. Gresham is a
graphic designer and the chief photographer at Asen Marketing, in Knoxville. In
addition to his extensive commercial work, he has built a large body of personal
