Undergraduate Research

Carson-Newman students have many opportunities to engage in undergraduate resesearch (UGR), which may include:

  • Scholarly writing
  • Scientific experiments
  • Statistical studies
  • Interdisciplinary projects
  • Creative works of art
  • Performance
  • Study abroad

C-N has a vibrant honors program that culminates with the honors thesis.  Student theses are archived online and in the college library.

On Thursday, April 19, Carson-Newman will celebrate Student Research, Creativity and Performance Day.   Students across campus will present their research in the form of presentations, posters, performances, and galleries.  Here is the SRCP day Schedule.

Students are also encouraged to travel with faculty mentors to local UGR conferences such as

  • Blue Ridge Undergraduate Research Conference (BRURC)
