Qualifications:

For middle and high school positions, schools focus on candidates’ degrees in applicable subject areas. State licensure/certification can be a plus, but it’s not a requirement. Specific training is expected in some areas, however:

Position Overview
We are currently seeking a Seasonal Tax Intern in our Atlanta CPAs and Consultants office with experience in Microsoft Office who is organized and is service oriented. This person must have good communication, interpersonal, and client service skills, and be able to maintain a professional demeanor in a service-oriented environment. Responsibilities include the preparation of simple individual tax returns and other tax return duties under the close direction of a supervisor. Crenshaw United Methodist Church
Director of Music/Organist/Pianist

 The Director of Music/Organist/Pianist is responsible for the total music program at Crenshaw. The Director works closely with the pastor, the worship committee, and the church council to establish and maintain a workable program for the benefit of the church, and to honor and give glory to God.

 Duties include:

1. Organist/pianist for the two Sunday services (one being of a contemporary worship style and the other traditional) and provide anthems/special music by the Chancel choir and other choirs/soloists.
2. Oversees/directs the following choirs and schedules rehearsals:
- Chancel choir
- Children/Youth Choirs
- Beginning and advanced Handbell Choirs
- Praise Team /Band
(Recruit and organize other choirs as needed)

3. Leads congregational singing.
4. Coordinates the use and operation of audio/visuals utilized during worship services.
5. Prepares and presents special music for the Christmas and Easter seasons.
6. Organist/pianist for church funerals. Also plays for worship services planned by the church, such as:
- Wednesday Lenten services at noon (Ash Wednesday through Holy week)
- Christmas Eve services
- Maundy Thursday Holy Communion
- Good Friday
- Revival services
- Other services and programs, as needed

7. Selects and orders supplies and music within the limits of the music budget.
8. The Director of Music is a member of the Worship committee and the Church Council. The Director will be available in an advisory capacity to the UMYF, Sunday school, children’s ministries, such as vacation bible school, and other church organizations involved in music.
9. The Director participates in Continuing Education workshops/seminars as they become available with fees for such being funded by the church. The Director will also encourage others in the music program to attend such workshops in order to improve skills and enhance the music program of the church.

10. The Director works closely with, and under the supervision of the pastor, and will be required to attend regularly scheduled staff meetings.
11. The Director is responsible for the maintenance of all church musical instruments, including periodic tuning of the organ and pianos (scheduling and overseeing), and the setting of the Carillon throughout the church year. The Director will inform the Church Council of major repairs when needed.

 The performance of the Director of Music/Organist/Pianist and the provisions of this job description will be subject to an annual review by the Staff-Parish Relations Committee, which will establish the salary and benefit package.

Additional Information: Schedule is non-traditional, but flexible and based around clients’ availability. Since counselors are heavily involved with each family, long hours may be required. Counselors must have their own vehicle to use for work purposes as well as have liability insurance. Counselors are reimbursed for mileage.

Avalon Hospice of Morristown is seeking interns and volunteers. Student interns can shadow employees (nurse, chaplains, etc.) and assist as able. Student volunteers can participate in patient visits, assist patients and families with errands or household needs, arrange and deliver flowers, assist with veteran recognition, assist with office management, etc.

Qualifications: Open to students from any major (nursing, human services, religion, communication, sociology, psychology, etc). Previous hospice experience is not required.
