Worship Leader Job Description
Guiding Vision: Since our hearts break for young men, young women and young families who need Jesus, we will offer a style of worship which will be more relevant to them.
Worship Leader duties:
Create meaningful contemporary worship
through music, visual arts, and other resources
Lead the contemporary worship service weekly;
direct the worship flow as the vocal leader
Lead contemporary worship rehearsals
including vocalists, instrumentalists, media team,
influence the spiritual development of this Praise TEAM
through prayer and spiritual sensitivity to their purpose
Research and implement on-line resources and planning tools
Report to senior pastor, and Staff Parish Relations Committee
Create and coordinate the worship sets to complement sermon
Attend coordination meetings
Worship Leader’s desired skills/experience
Spiritual preparedness:
A personal delight to exalt and honor the Lord, Jesus Christ
A desire to lead a contemporary congregation into sincere worship
An interest to work with the church pastor to create engaging worship
Musical / arts preparedness
Experience in contemporary worship leadership
Vocal leadership skills
Instrumental skills desirable: guitar, keyboards
Media preparation desirable: Power Point, etc.
Part-time salary somewhat negotiable:

Lead traditional worship; conduct chancel choir
Provide leadership to total music/fine arts ministries
