Missions Coach

Help be the answer to prayer for more laborers for God’s harvest as a MISSIONS COACH

This multi-faceted position calls for a combination of people and administrative skills. The Missions Coach will contribute to the purpose of TEAM by bringing about increased commitment to and involvement with missions generally and TEAM in particular. This will be done by

o casting a compelling missions vision for those presently unengaged in missionso coaching those presently moving towards missionary serviceo resourcing the local church in their efforts to mobilize their own people towards missionary service

KEY SKILLS/REQUIREMENTS: The successful Missions Coach will be a person who

demonstrates humility, teachability, and an ability to work well with othersloves God and people with a fervency that provokes a passion for missionshas prior missions experience (short or long-term or as an MK)can effectively relate the importance of missions in individual and group settingscommunicates effectively in writingis able to appropriately manage relationships with potential missionariescan work effectively as part of a Mobilization Hub Team, yet function well independentlywill be comfortable interacting with pastors and church staff especially by phonedemonstrates enough technological proficiency toeffectively manage a heavy email loadkeep accurate records of inquiries, meetings, etc.can keep track of the details involved in setting up events, follow-up with reports, etc.is able to travel domestically if needed (every effort will be made to focus activities locally)

RESPONSIBILITIES/ACTIVITIES include but are not limited to

stay informed of needs and opportunities within TEAMrespond quickly and appropriately to inquiriesactively maintain relationships with potential missionarieswisely coach inquirers as they seek and obey God’s directionwork with potential missionaries to identify appropriate opportunities within TEAMwork with field missionaries to coach inquirers toward appropriate opportunitieshandle necessary logistics for any travel, events, etc.record activities and interaction with contacts according to established mobilization procedures
