What District Executives Do

Our professionals develop and use skills in management, sales, public relations, and fund raising. Although they spend their share of hours behind a desk, a lot more time is spent in the field checking out the action in their service areas, making sure that goals are set and objectives are met.

A District Executive Position

The district executive manages the overall growth, extension, quality, program enhancement, and supervision of the Scouting program within a specified geographical area. The Executive oversees a District Operations Board who in turn support, train, and motivate the adult volunteers delivering the Scouting program. Though most of the work deals with human relations, fund-raising administration and public relations are vital additional duties of the district executive.

Competitive starting salary, plus a benefits package that includes major medical and prescription coverage, a dental assistance plan, a vision service plan, accident insurance, life insurance, retirement, and the option to invest in a tax-deferred annuity.
