General Character of Duties
Definition: Under the supervision of the Manager of Investment Accounting, maintains updates and reconciles the investment accounting subsidiary ledger.
Example of Duties: Performs monthly reconciliation of TCRS, BEST, Lottery, and COE activity from the custodian to general ledger and Edison; performs monthly asset reconciliation between custodian and QED; performs periodic sampling and review of information recorded by custodian (income, amortization, etc.); performs quarterly testing of QED market values; performs daily reconciliation of equity accounts between custodian and QED; performs quarterly reconciliations of real estate and private equity transactions to advisor statements; performs control procedures on real estate and private equity transactions; preparation of journals in Edison as needed; audits daily activity before being loaded into Edison; serve as backup to other Accounting Technicians in Investment Accounting; other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Education and Experience: Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a major in accounting. A Master’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration or Finance or completion of the required education hours to sit for the CPA exam is preferred; a candidate must demonstrate they are actively pursuing the required number of education hours to sit for the CPA exam. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is also required.
