Kevin is a native of Jefferson City, graduate of Jefferson County High School and received his degree in Computer Science in 1988. He has been with the Carson-Newman Information Technology Department since 2002.

Prior to coming to Carson-Newman, Kevin spent 8 years at Jenzabar as a technical analyst, consultant, instructor, programmer and implementation manager. Before Jenzabar, he spent 5 years as the I.T. Systems Administrator at a credit union in Knoxville.

He loves to spend time with his wife, three children and two grandchildren. He enjoys playing golf and is a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church.

Connie has been involved with higher education administrative software since 1979. As a software specialist in a previous role, she installed, trained, supported and modified proprietary software to meet the needs of the company’s clients.

Since coming to Carson-Newman College in 1999, she has been a programmer/analyst in the Information Technology Department. Currently working with the Datatel Colleague Enterprise System software she provides training, testing, troubleshooting, and support for the administrative offices.

Connie and her husband and I live in Powell, TN, and have two grown children who both graduated from Carson-Newman. They also have a two year old grandson who keeps them busy during their spare time.

Education:  Jenifer received a B.S. in Computer Information Systems from Carson-Newman in 2011.

She has been working in the IT department since 2009 as a student and moved to full-time after graduation. At Carson-Newman, she offers support when there are network- or systems-related problems. Outside of Carson-Newman, she enjoys hiking, camping, reading, sewing, and cooking, but she especially loves to run. She has completed three half-marathons and two triathlons. When running she remembers these two inspiring quotes: “No matter how slow you run, you are always faster than the person sitting on the couch!” and Philippians 3:14 “I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.”

Nathan has worked in Carson-Newman Information Technology since 1995. Over the last 17 years, he hasfunctioned in various roles, heading up Network Administration, PC Administration, and most recently, filling the role of Systems Analyst / Programmer in our Administrative Software group (which is now officially known as C-N Enterprise Applications).

When not working he has run a side-business for 4 years, repairing computers for both residential and business customers. In recent days, he have taken on the task of being the IT Director at two local Christian institutions, Cornerstone Academy, Morristown (a private K-12 Christian school) and Manley Baptist Church, Morristown.

Outside of doing IT work / ministry, Nathan is heavily involved in the music program at church and plays trumpet in weekly services. He loves to read and watch Christian/family oriented movies.

When asked about his family and his faith he said; "I have a wonderful wife (Amy) and a beautiful daughter (Megan) who is in the 3rd grade. I became a Christian when I was very young and have made it my ongoing goal in life to follow Jesus and become like Him in every way that I possibly can."

Scott shares his Carson-Newman experience with his wife Valerie Owens who currently works with the Treasureres Office.  Scott and Valerie have two children, Hunter and Hailey.

Background
With more than 30 years’ experience in the field of information technology, Valerie has a diverse background in corporate, k-12, and higher education settings. She has extensive experience in instructional technology, technology training and support as well as systems administration.

It's all about family!
-Youngest of 7 children. - Married a man who was the 7th of 10 children (seven is the number of completion) ;-)
-Wife 34 plus years
-Mother of 3 beautiful girls
-Mother-in-law of 3 sons
-Grandmother of 2 beautiful granddaughters and 1 on the way
-Aunt on my side of the family to 16 nieces and nephews; 24 1/2 grand-nieces and nephews
-Aunt of my husband's side of the family to 24 nieces and nephews; 24 grand-nieces and nephews
When it's not about family it's about gadgets and power tools.

Education
Graduated with a bachelor’s degree in business management from the State University of New York, Empire State and a master’s degree in business administration from Alfred University.

Aaron is originally from Asheville NC but has lived in Morristown for 14 years, and is currently attending school at the Tennessee Technology Center at Morristown to receive his degree in Computer Information Technology. He is also an Eagle Scout of Troop 91 in Morristown, TN and has received three Eagle Palms; and has been with the Carson-Newman Information Technology Department since the fall 2011.

Originally from Tennessee, David has lived here most of his life. He graduated from Carson-Newman in 2001 (BS) and 2012 (MBA)

Working at Carson-Newman for 11 years as an employee his most recent job is that of Director of Information Technology and Network and Systems Administrator.  He thinks of himself as "A computer guy."

Outside of work he enjoys family life with his wife and daughter.  For recreation he plays golf, basketball.  In the past has played Tennis on the college team and wrestled in high school.

Hello! My name is Todd Turpin, I am the "New Media Specialist" at Carson-Newman. I graduated in May 2012 from C-N with a B.A. in Art with an Emphasis in Graphic Design. I spent the majority of my Senior year in the College Communications office helping to build, map out, and integrate the new www.cn.edu.
