Any computers connecting the the Carson-Newman network, wired or wireless, are required to have up-to-date patches to their operating systems. Operating system weaknesses are discovered almost daily. These weaknesses often allow viruses to infect your computer.
To prevent possible viruses and malware from entering the Carson-Newman network any computers on-campus connecting to the network are monitored, via Clean Access, for up-to-date operating systems and anti-virus programs before access is granted.
