Top Navigation Bar
Use these icons to access the various areas of C-N Online LMS or Logout of the program. Any time you would like to return to the Home page of the C-N Online LMS – select the Home icon on the top Navigation bar. This navigation bar remains the same as you navigate the C-N Online LMS.
Personal Navigation Bar
Use these links/icons to access your personal profile, ePortfolio, or system alerts that you may have already marked as read. You may also change personal settings such as the forwarding of e-mail alerts to your telephone or setting up your message signature. This navigation bar changes depending on which section of the LMS you are currently browsing.
Alerts
This section of the homepage will offer system-wide alerts and important information relevant to all Carson-Newman students, faculty and staff. Once you have read an alert, click the Mark Read link. This will file the alert in your Alerts History for access at a later date should you need to retrieve the information.
Personal Alerts
This section of the homepage notifies you of any e-mail messages that you have received in the C-N Online LMS, or any new friend requests in any of the Carson-Newman communities. Select the links to either read or clear these messages and to manage your friends list.
Unread Posts & Comments
This section of the homepage will let you know if there are any new discussion items in your courses or communities. You may access a post directly by clicking the title of the post. You may also clear any posts from your home page by clicking on the “Clear Message” link.
Calendar This Week
The Calendar This Week section of the homepage gives you a quick glance at the events occurring in the upcoming week. This will include any personal appointments you have set using the C-N Online Calendar along with course events such as due assignments, test dates, or community and group activities.
