Need to know the procedure on how a student withdraws from the college?

  1. Contact Amy Humphrey, Director of Student Retention (x3227). She will visit with the student about why he/she is leaving. If appropriate, she will make referrals for the student (academic or personal counseling, etc)
  2. If the student wants to proceed with the withdrawal, he/she must complete an official withdrawal form. This form is available in the office of Student Retention.
  3. The student must then meet with Robin Taylor in the Financial Aid office. Robin counsels the student regarding the financial aid process and the student’s financial responsibilities to the College.
  4. If the student is living in the residence halls, the student will need to meet with the RLC and officially check out.
  5. Robin Taylor will distribute copies of the withdrawal form to the Registrar’s office, the Treasurer’s office and to the student.
  6. Amy will contact the student’s advisor and professors to let them know the student has withdrawn. She will also contact Residence Life.
