Need to know the procedure on how a student withdraws from the college?
- Contact Amy Humphrey, Director of Student Retention (x3227). She will visit with the student about why he/she is leaving. If appropriate, she will make referrals for the student (academic or personal counseling, etc)
- If the student wants to proceed with the withdrawal, he/she must complete an official withdrawal form. This form is available in the office of Student Retention.
- The student must then meet with Robin Taylor in the Financial Aid office. Robin counsels the student regarding the financial aid process and the student’s financial responsibilities to the College.
- If the student is living in the residence halls, the student will need to meet with the RLC and officially check out.
- Robin Taylor will distribute copies of the withdrawal form to the Registrar’s office, the Treasurer’s office and to the student.
- Amy will contact the student’s advisor and professors to let them know the student has withdrawn. She will also contact Residence Life.
