Admission Requirements for RN – BSN Program

Graduates from AD and Diploma nursing programs who are seeking to earn a BSN will be expected to

• Complete the Application for Admission to Carson-Newman College
• Provide an official transcript for all previous college and university work.
• Complete of all prerequisite course work with a grade of C or better from Carson-Newman or an accredited college or university.
• Maintain a grade point average of 2.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale
• Complete the Application to Begin Nursing Courses Form. This form must be completed the semester before beginning nursing course work. It is due September 1st for spring semester and March 15th for summer semester.

Nursing majors are assigned a departmental adviser who will guide and follow the student’s academic progress.

Application to Begin Nursing Courses forms must be submitted to the Division of Nursing, Undergraduate Department. Deadline for the January semester is September 1s. Application for the summer term must be submitted by March 15th.
