The School of Business at Carson-Newman College invites applicants for a full-time tenure-track position in Accounting at the Assistant or Associate Professor level beginning August, 2010. 
 
The School of Business is located in the new Ted Russell Hall, an architecturally-designed 35,000 square foot structure on the Carson-Newman campus.  The building features spacious offices, smart classrooms and integrated high technology to enable the most up-to-date instructional techniques.  Ted Russell Hall opened in May, 2009. 

Responsibilities include teaching upper level undergraduate and one MBA accounting course per year.  Associated duties are academic advising, committee assignments, attendance at School of Business and college functions, professional and scholarly activity, and student recruiting.

The successful candidate will hold a Ph.D. in business with at least 18 graduate hours in accounting.   Candidates who hold the CPA designation and who have business and/or teaching experience are preferred.  Consideration will be given to ABD candidates who have successfully defended their dissertation proposal.
