Doctor of Education (Ed.D.)

Carson-Newman University has been offering  master’s degree programs in education since 1987 and now has been approved by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools to offer programs through the Doctor of Education and Educational Specialist degrees, beginning in Fall 2013.  The following programs have been approved:

Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership, which requires 57 hours beyond the master’s degree, with the following concentrations:

  • Administrative Leadership Concentration, Aspiring (ILL-A) optional, and the Instructional Leader License - Beginning (ILL-B) (Online)
  • Curriculum and Instruction Leadership Concentration (Online)
