School Counseling Track


Carson-Newman is a nurturing campus offering professional training in a school counseling structured within the context of Christian beliefs, values, and behaviors. The graduate program in Behavioral Health prepares school counselors for service within public and private schools. Today, the changing needs of our society, and more specifically of educational system demand developing new and innovative ways to prepare school counselors.

Carson-Newman school counseling faculty members have been leaders and innovators in the development of school counseling programs at all grade levels throughout their careers.  For them, the mentoring of students is a high priority and includes quality training combined with service to professional organizations, the University, and the community. Graduates are equipped with the skills and competencies to be leaders as professional school counselors in diverse settings.

Carson-Newman provides a private school atmosphere at an affordable price comparable to graduate hours at public institutions.
