FORGIVING: The Work of Letting Go
With Carolyn Blevins, MA
Practicing forgiveness nurtures physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being. Forgiveness, however, is seldom easy and is very difficult in some circumstances. In this seminar, Carolyn Blevins shares what she learned about forgiveness following the untimely death of her daughter. Attention will be given to some of the therapeutic benefits of practicing forgiveness as a coping skill in dealing with emotional pain, whatever the source.
Carolyn DeArmond Blevins is retired from 30 years on the faculty at Carson Newman and is Associate Professor of Religion Emerita at this University. She is the author of A Journey of Pain and Peace: Learning from Loss.
