Richard J. Gray II, Ph.D., Associate Professor of French and Linguistics, will be discussing his recently released edited collection of essays entitled "The 21st Century Superhero: Essays on Gender, Genre and Globalization in Film." In particular, his talk serves to discuss the evolution of the superhero film genre in the Post 9/11 era with a specific focus on deconstructing the 21st century superheroine.
