  Dr. Teets currently serves as the Chair of the Education Department and teaches a variety of courses in both undergraduate and graduate programs. She most often teaches Foundations of Education and Human Development. She is a lifetime member of the National Association for the Education of Young Children and serves as the chief institutional representative for the Tennessee Association of Colleges for Teacher Education, the American Association of Colleges for Teacher Education, and the Association for Independent Liberal Arts Colleges for Teacher Education.
  
  Her interests include reading both fictional and professional material, walking and jogging outdoors, cooking, and traveling.
