  A 1993 music education Carson-Newman graduate, Mrs. Julie Hensley Wright returned to Carson-Newman as its Director of the Preparatory School of Music in 1997 and became Music Librarian in August, 2007. In 2012, Mrs. Wright also took over as departmental administrative assistant in the music department.  
  
  Mrs. Wright is a private piano teacher and has maintained a studio in Jefferson City for the past 10 years. As a member of the Music Teachers National Association, she obtained certification in piano pedagogy in December, 2001. She currently serves as pianist at Bethel Baptist Church in Morristown, TN and is the Executive Secretary of Delta Omicron International Music Fraternity.
  
  Mrs. Wright resides in Jefferson City, TN with her awesome husband, Thomas M. Wright, and their almost-as-awesome cat, Meatloaf
