  Dr. Hinson teaches Advanced Speaking Skills I, ESL Curriculum, English Phonology, Language Acquisition, and Evaluation in ESL.
  
  His specialty areas include Teaching English in Foreign Language Settings, Intensive English Program Development, and Developing Speaking and Listening Skills.
  
  His areas of interest include the role of individual differences in acquiring a second language and the impact of short-term intensive English programs on non-native speakers acquisition of English language skills.
  
  He is a member of Teachers of English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL), Tennessee TESOL, and NASFA: Association of International Educators.
  
  His hobbies and interests include traveling, golf, and reading.
  
  Dr. Hinson is the Dean of the Center for Global Education at C-N and also the sponsor of the International Club.
