Dr. Osborne is both a community and ecological psychologist. He is the creator of the social entrepreneurship major/non-profit leadership major which encourages citizens to work for the common good. He is interested in community organization, peace studies and environmental psychology. He is Carson-Newman’s 2010 Outstanding Professor and a Bonner Center Fellow. His free time is spent enjoying outdoor activities such as hiking and kayaking and writing and playing music.
