Mrs. Farris is the Director of the Child Development Lab at Carson-Newman. Courses she teaches are Program Planning for Young Children I and II. She is a member of the National Association for the Education of Young Children, Southern Early Childhood Association, and the Knoxville Area Association for the Education of Young Children. She serves on the TECTA board and the Jefferson County Pre-K board.
Mrs. Farris enjoys traveling, reading, and camping in Gatlinburg.

Beth Fiske joined Carson-Newman in 2007 and teaches Pediatric Nursing, Maternal/Infant Nursing, Neonatal Nursing and Nursing Research. She has over thirty years of experience in a variety of nursing roles and holds certifications as a Pediatric Clinical Nurse Specialist and a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner. She received her BSN from West Virginia University and her MSN, PhD and Graduate Certificate in Homeland Security Nursing from the University of Tennessee.

Ms. Lisa Flanary has been teaching classes in Photography, Art Appreciation, and Art Fundamentals at Carson-Newman since 1998. Ms. Flanary is a fine art photographer who primarily uses the 4x5 view camera. Her fine art, landscape photographs have been exhibited around the southeast. Ms. Flanary holds a BA in History, and earned her MFA (in Photography) from East Tennessee State University. She recently published a book of historical photographs of Dandridge, Tennessee.

Dr. Ryan Fogg is Associate Professor of Music and Director of Keyboard Studies at Carson-Newman. A native Texan, he holds degrees in Piano Performance from the University of Texas at Austin, the University of Houston, and East Texas Baptist University. Dr. Fogg maintains an active performing schedule, presenting solo recitals regularly throughout the United States. In addition, he has collaborated with the Blair String Quartet and has appeared as concerto soloist with the Knoxville Wind Symphony. His debut CD of New American Piano Music, entitled “The Fogg Project,” is now available here.
Dr. Fogg holds national certification through the Music Teachers National Association and is also a member of the College Music Society and Pi Kappa Lambda, the National Music Honor Society. A dedicated teacher, he has been recognized by Carson-Newman College with the Teaching Excellence and Leadership Award (2010) and the Faculty Creativity Award (2008), and he was named the 2009-2010 Teacher of the Year by the Knoxville Music Teachers Association. He has also served on the faculties of Northwest Missouri State University and Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp in Michigan. His major teachers include Gregory Allen, Danielle Martin, Robert Brownlee and Dr. Randall Sulton.
