Research, Creativity, and Performance Day was born out of the Carson-Newman community's desire to showcase the excellent work in which our members engage both inside and beyond the classroom. Showcasing work by undergraduate and graduate students, as well as faculty, the yearly event brings the campus together to celebrate our intellectual and artistic accomplishments.
Carson-Newman students have many opportunities to engage in research, including:
- Scholarly writing
- Scientific experiments
- Statistical studies
- Interdisciplinary projects
- Creative works of art
- Study abroad
Highlights of RCP Day include presentations from seniors graduating from the Honors Program and work from students at the Bonner Center, art shows and musical performances that take place throughout the day, and a colloquium showcasing recent faculty research and creative work. Student and faculty participation in RCP Day has been increasing steadily since the event's inception. To get an idea of the breadth and depth of the day's events, the most recent program can be found here.
Faculty will be notified early in Spring 2018 when registration for next year's event is available.
