In 1961, the infirmary was dedicated in honor of Kathleen Manley and six other missionaries as a project of the Nolachucky Baptist Association and the Kresge Foundation.  As a missionary nurse who served in Africa, her story is one of courage faith, and love for humanity.  The 6,629 square foot facility includes student services, counseling and health services.
