The apartment-style residence hall was built in 2001 and is located on West College Street behind the Tarr Music Building.  In conjunction with LeConte Hall, this 19,250 square foot residential area is known as Appalachian Commons.  Greenbrier is home to 60 upper-class women who are housed in two-person and four-person apartments.  The apartments are fully furnished and provide residents with a living room, kitchen, and bathroom.  Each resident in Appalachian Commons has a private bedroom that is equipped with phone, cable, and computer connections.  In addition, there are coin-operated laundry facilities available in the building between Greenbrier and LeConte.
