Becoming an Officer in SGA
How to become an Officer in SGA:
First, you must be a full-time student who pays the student activity fee.
Then, complete and submit the SGA Application for Office. You can return this form to SGA's office, MSAC 2008, or the Student Activities Office, MSAC 1014.
Following confirmation of your eligibility, which will be sent to you via your C-N email account, you can then begin campaigning.
Once elected, you are an SGA Officer. Congratulations!
How to be a good Officer in SGA:
Attend - Besides attending the weekly Senate meetings, you will need to show your support of SGA by attending other events (e.g. Fall Retreat and Big Man on Campus) that are SGA sponsored events.
Advocate - Keep in touch with and be sensitive to your constituency that you may know how to best advocate for them.
Assess - Be intentional and assess your own performance as an Officer and the efforts of SGA in representing our Student Body. Then, either stay the course or adjust accordingly.
