The Office of Student Activities
The Office of Student Activities at Carson-Newman University seeks to serve our students through the promotion and provision of opportunities for involvement on campus. Our hope is that through this involvement the individual and collective experiences of our students will further their development socially, culturally, spiritually, and educationally.
Student Activities welcomes you to C-N! We encourage you to plug into campus life during your time with us for a more fulfilling and complete experience. There are numerous clubs and organizations that you can select from when looking to be a part of what is going on at C-N. The purposes and affiliations of these groups vary across a spectrum that includes service, faith, social, professional, and departmental. Besides the opportunities and experiences presented within these groups, there is also the chance to take part in the many activities and events these groups are responsible for and that are hosted on campus throughout the year.
Organizations such as the Eagle Production Company (EPC), Student Government Association (SGA), Baptist Collegiate Ministries (BCM), and Student Ambassadors Association (SAA), along with the many other additional campus groups, regularly schedule special events throughout the year. Among these events are concerts, movies, plays, worship services, Bible studies, variety shows, and many others. You can find our current directory of chartered clubs and orgs here.
The Eagle Production Company (EPC) is a student organization that provides opportunities for involvement and entertainment during the course of a year by way of novelty acts, Live@C-N Concerts, Homecoming Parade, Spring Formal, and Movie-on-the-Lawn’s among other events. It is C-N’s student programming board and effectively functions as the primary programming arm for the Office of Student Activities and the C-N campus. EPC is student lead and student run.
The Student Government Association (SGA) is another organization on campus that offers opportunities for involvement and an avenue for directly impacting our campus. SGA serves our students and campus through legislation, forums, and special projects with the intent, purpose, and hope of effectively communicating the heart of the student body and adding to the betterment of our campus. Aiding and promoting open lines of communication between our student body and our administration is central to these goals.
