Health Services

Welcome to Health Services

Health Services' mission is to provide services which promote student success and help students to reach their full potential by caring for pysical needs of the campus community. To accomplish this mission, The director of Health Services, a Registered Nurse, offers care to faculty, staff, students, and campus guests for the treatment of minor illnesses or injuries and referral for further care. Students are able to continue their academic progress because of prompt and free attention to matters of decreased health. Health education is promoted to address the developmental needs of students. The department supports the mission of the Division of Student Affairs in implemeningt its program of services based on the Wellness Model of Development (the six dimensions being spiritual, emotional, occupational, socoal, intellectual, and physical). The department works closely with other campus and community intities to provide health education, promote healthy lifestyle choices, and enhance student success. Carson-Newman's mission is to help our students reach their full potential as educated citizens and world wide servant leaders by integrating academic excellence and Christian committment within a caring community.
