FALL S.P.O.T.S. 2012 LOCATION

CROSSNORE, NORTH CAROLINA

This mission team will be serving with The Crossnore School- Mountains of Hope.  The Crossnore School is secluded in the Cherokee National Forest of Western North Carolina. Originally built to bring Christ’s hope and academic education to impoverished children of Appalachia, today it serves as a K-12 Christian residential boarding school to children in need.

Missionaries will be serving the students of Crossnore School through several different opportunities and ministries.  The team will be leading in a “Vacation Bible School-like” day where they will conduct 3 rotating age-specific groups to participate in games/activities, crafts/projects, and lessons/testimonies.  Missionaries will also be helping in regular school activities and serving in roles such as teacher’s aides, readers, helpers, and tutors.

On Sunday they will be going to a local church and hope to enjoy the beautiful National Park on a scenic hike and picnic.
