Reference and Instruction Librarian

Carson-Newman University invites applicants for a Reference and Instruction Librarian in the Stephens-Burnett Memorial Library. The position is a full-time, 10-month, tenure-track faculty position to begin August, 2013.
Candidates for the position must have an ALA-accredited master’s degree in library and information science. Desired qualifications include recent reference experience in an academic library environment with numerous electronic resources, substantial experience or interest in library instruction and information literacy, experience with LibGuides and other SpringShare products (LibAnswers and LibChat), experience with E360 or other Learning Management Systems, and a working knowledge of U.S. Government Documents.
Candidates for the position will provide reference service and library instruction to the University community including online programs, will share evening and weekend duties, and will serve on departmental and University committees.
