Carson-Newman University invites applicants for the position of Director of the Bonner Center for Service Learning and Civic Engagement. The position is a full-time, 12 month position to begin immediately upon employment.
Candidates for the position must have at least a Master’s degree, Ph.D. preferred, and minimum of 3-5 years or more of experience in organizational development, student development, service-learning/civic engagement, program administration, and/or non-profit administration. Previous knowledge or experience of the Bonner Foundation or Bonner Scholars programming is strongly preferred.
Carson-Newman employs faculty and staff who are actively supportive, through a local church, of its aim as a university with a Christian commitment.
Candidates for the position of Director of the Bonner Center for Service Learning and Civic Engagement will be responsible for the successful leadership and management of the Center. The Director is responsible for establishing and executing major goals and objectives, direction, and guidance of the Center’s activities. The Director analyzes and evaluates the effectiveness of all organizational operations, develops and maintains organizational structure, budgets, and ensures effective personnel. She/he represents the organization to regulatory bodies, other agencies, community and civic organizations, donors, funders and supporters, and the general public. The Director oversees the daily operations of the Bonner Center under the supervision of the Academic Director of the Bonner Center for Service Learning and Civic Engagement and the Provost.
The rank and salary will be commensurate with educational preparation and experience. Group health insurance as well as a 401K retirement plan are available on a participating basis.
