Carson-Newman University invites applicants for an Assistant Professor of English in the English Department. The position is tenure track to begin August, 2014.
Candidates for the position must have, at the time of appointment a Ph. D. in Composition and Rhetoric, or a closely related field. Specialization in business, technical, professional, and scientific writing, as well as writing lab experience, is preferred.
Candidates for the position of Assistant Professor of English will teach a 4/4 load, and also provide student mentorship and departmental service. The successful candidate will be responsible for guiding and developing the composition program that serves the entire University.
The rank and salary will be commensurate with educational preparation and experience. Group life and health insurance as well as a 401K retirement plan are available on a participating basis. Women and minorities are encouraged to apply.
