Assistant Professor, Biology

Carson-Newman University invites applicants for an Assistant Professor in the Biology Department. The position is a full-time, nine-month, tenure track position to begin August 2013.

Candidates for the position must have a Ph.D. (or ABD) in Biology or a related field.

Carson-Newman employs faculty and staff who are actively supportive, through a local church, of its aim as a university with a Christian commitment.

Candidates for the position of Assistant Professor in Biology should be broadly trained, ideally with expertise in human anatomy and/or physiology. In addition to teaching lower and upper level courses, the ideal candidate will also be willing to direct undergraduate research projects and work with cadavers.

The rank and salary will be commensurate with educational preparation and experience. Group life and health insurance as well as a 401K retirement plan are available on a participating basis. Women and minorities are encouraged to apply.
