Freshman Merit-Based Scholarships

2014-2015 Freshman Merit-Based Scholarships

All freshman students admitted to Carson-Newman are automatically considered for the following Merit-Based Scholarships; no separate scholarship application is required for these awards.

These awards are made without regard to financial need, and are intended to recognize those students whose accomplishments show them to have extraordinary potential for impact on the Carson-Newman community, and for future contributions to society. Recipients are selected primarily on the basis of the strength of their applications for admissions. The scholarship profiles described below are based on a combination of GPA and test scores, and therefore only average qualifications are listed. Recipients will be granted the highest award for which they qualify and will receive official notification of their award shortly after acceptance to Carson-Newman.
